PCN Catheter Set – Balloon Retention
The ASTER PCN Catheter Set with Balloon Retention uses a Foley-style inflatable balloon at the catheter's distal tip for secure retention in the renal pelvis. The balloon is inflated after placement to anchor the catheter, eliminating reliance on a pigtail curl alone — making it the preferred choice for long-term or high-activity patients where dislodgement risk is a concern.
Set Contains:
- Initial puncture needle, stainless steel
- PTFE-coated guidewire, stainless steel
- Fascial dilators, grey PeBax®
- Pigtail catheter with integral inflatable balloon, blue polyurethane
- Balloon inflation syringe
- Urine bag connector, PVC
Supplied sterile in a peel-open package. Single use only.
