The ASTER Suprapubic Drainage Catheter Set with Metal Trocar uses a rigid stainless steel trocar with a sharp needle tip for direct, controlled puncture of the bladder through the abdominal wall. The metal trocar provides a firm, one-step insertion path and is the most widely used technique for suprapubic catheterisation in urology settings worldwide.
The seamless transition between the metal trocar and the peel-away sheath conduit ensures an atraumatic and straightforward puncture experience. After catheter placement, the sheath peels away cleanly, leaving only the silicone Foley catheter in situ.
