The ASTER Biopsy Gun is a spring-loaded, semi-automatic biopsy device that fires the biopsy needle to a precise, pre-set depth with a rapid, consistent action. The fast two-stage firing mechanism (stylet advance + cutting cannula advance) minimises needle dwell time in tissue and reduces patient discomfort and procedure-related bleeding compared to manual needle biopsy techniques.

The adjustable penetration depth selector allows the clinician to pre-set sample depth to 15 mm or 22 mm depending on lesion size and target anatomy. The ergonomic pistol-grip handle with single-finger trigger provides stable, one-handed operation with precise control. Compatible with all standard 16G and 18G biopsy needles.

Reusable device — sterilisable. Needles supplied separately and are single use only.
